Sailing under the US flag
has never been so systematic. In fact, working for the federal
government and adding to the 10 trillion dollar GDP has never been
this organized. It took almost a decade to get the International
Maritime Organization to come into effect for the convenience of
navigation over domestic and international waters.
Federal regulations are
divided into various titles, pertaining to topics including Federal
Elections, Food and Drug, National Defense and Postal Service. These
rules consist of a plethora of administrative laws. In fact, all the
federal government laws come under this code.
Administrative laws under
the circumnavigation of territorial waters often are pragmatically
written for Coast Guards who need coordinates to understand the
navigable areas circumfering harbors, bays, and inlets in all water
bodies. Maritime industries sending out ships and vessels have to
abide by the Code
of Federal Regulations
to maintain seaports. Buying the handbook for navigation may be a
great addition to your knowledge as a skilled navigator. Obviously,
with this handbook, you will be able to understand your jurisdiction
better. Read further to understand the laws that bind this
federation.
The Various CFR
CFR stands for Code
of Federal Regulations. When
reading the various regulations given in the rulebook, you will be
privy to landmark legislation in Drug and OSHA safety regulations.
There is a section named CFR 29, which has deemed inspection of OSHA
violations as a standard protocol for introducing safety in the
workplace. Effective fining of employees takes place when they are
questioned under violation of OSHA standards. Furthermore,
whistle blowers have immunity to discuss violations of safety laws
with OSHA officials. These are all written under 22 federal laws
protecting such individuals under the OSHA act. Whereas, CFR 33
discusses the coordinates of the domestic waters that are within
jurisdiction, beyond which are international waters.
With this handbook, you
will be able to understand the law and administration germane to your
occupation. Thus, you can prevent any form of occupational hazards.
Understand the code and learn how to respect and follow it.
